For eating out, there is an à la cart restaurant with a pretty outside dining terrace, an award winning pizzeria offering a small inside dining room and a covered dining area outside, as well as takeaway and a pizza dispensing machine available 24/7. There is also a bar/restaurant in the park offering an à la cart menu and takeaway food, plus a cafe offering a variety of sandwiches and hot snacks. The traiteur offers lunches and regular evening food and entertainment throughout the summer. Every Sunday and Monday night, there is a pizza van parked outside the post office. Sandwiches etc can also be bought in the two bakeries.

Within just a few minutes by car, there are many more restaurants to suit all tastes and budgets and of course Montelimar which is 20 minutes away offers a much larger selection of restaurants, and of course, here at the house, you have the use of a modern fully equipped kitchen and a top of the range Kamado Joe BBQ.

On Wednesday evenings there is a street food stall in Saint-Gervais-sur-Roubion, only a few minutes from the house, selling burgers and other fast food specialities.

La Bégude-de-Mazenc also offers a wide variety of services, including a pharmacy, a post office, a tourist office information point, a doctor, dentist, veterinary surgery, taxi service, bus service, petrol Station with car-wash, two hairdressers, ATM, electric car charging point and various other commerces.

Every Tuesday morning there is a Provençale market in the village center and the large municipal pool is open in the main summer months. There is also a large pretty park with a small lake and tennis courts and pétanque pitches. In summer the park hosts various markets, fairs and musical events.

A short walk up the hill from La Begude brings you to the beautiful medieval perched village of Châteauneuf-de-Mazenc. With its narrow cobbled streets and ancient buildings, its certainly worth the walk to explore. The view from the ramparts reaches as far as the Cévennes. From the gardens of Le Mas Des Abeilles you can enjoy the best view of Châteauneuf-de-Mazenc.
